In October 2002 Bill and three of his colleagues (Larry, Sacha and Sanjeev) made a 4 day business trip to Beijing China to give several presentations to various Chinese companies. This was a fairly short and hectic trip but the group was able to make some time for sightseeing. I'm glad we were able to make time for sightseeing as it was a real treat to see the "Great Wall of China" firsthand. I know everyone has seen "The Great Wall of China" on TV and in books but its a totally different experience to see it for yourself. I recommend to everyone to make this trip at least once in their lives. Our next stop was the "Forbidden City" which was also very interesting. Our final destination was the "Summer Palace" (Yiheyuan), this was interesting but not nearly as good as the Great Wall or the Forbidden City. We also had an opportunity to do some shopping and taste some of the famous Peking Duck. This was the best Peking Duck that I have ever had. I've promised Anette and Kimberly that we would visit China as a family. Hopefully in 2005 or 2006 this can become reality. Stay tuned for further details. |
